Holy Moses it's been a long time.

I think you have forgotten about this blog all together.  I'm still here typing away though.

So I not only did not stop running but I somehow convinced my bad ankle husband that he should do it too.  He does it! My first run in October was the Zombie run and I was hooked after that.  Then the light the night run, Hubby did that with me...well we were at the same race...he walk/ran I ran the whole way.  Then there was the Color Run!  That was awesome...Hubby did that with me and we both walked and ran.  They threw colored corn starch on us at each "K"  five colors and we were beautiful!  We wore our colors like a trophy!  Next was the Turkey Trot...Hubby did it with me.  I love him for that!

Then the Jingle Bell run...I was on my own.  That was the scariest one.  With my Raynaud's I could lose my fingers in cold wet weather.  It was cold and wet.  I could wear gloves, but how to keep them dry?  I was running for my first cause:  Arthritis research...my mom and my grandmother had it and hey guess what?  I do to!  It's just in my pinkies right now.  I prayed the night before.  I asked God and my mom and my grandmother to make it shine that day.  I woke to a sun struggling to get out from behind the cloud.  As we drove in it rained.  While I stood waiting for the shuttle to take me to run site I stood with my gloves while John held the umbrella over my head.  I couldn't run with the umbrella...I was getting nervous.  As the race neared I took off my rain coat and began to stretch.  The rain stopped.  Hubby held my coat and umbrella and I left him at the side line when the horn blew.  Runner's sang Christmas music.  I had Christmas music playing on my iPhone...I shut it off to sing with the other runners.  The sun shown the entire race and one point my hands got to hot to continue wearing my gloves.  As I crossed the finish line I looked up at the sun and almost cried.  That was one of the most amazing running experiences I had since I began running.  Hubby was at the finish taking pictures.  We had a beer together until the sun could no longer fight off the clouds and it began to rain.

Then the resolution run.  So far I had done pretty much a race per month.  I did this race alone.  Lots of hills (which I detest), but beautiful scenery.  The last run the electric run.  Hubby ran with me that night.  I can only say beautiful!  Now March is coming and I have no run scheduled!  I'm getting anxious.  I may have to do the color me Irish run on St.Paddy's day.  They throw paint on you, but only white green and orange.  When April arrives I am scheduled for 2 runs both with Hubby .  The Run or Dye run...it's just like the color run.  Then the Neon run.  That's at night like the electric run but they squirt you with a dye that glows!  I don't know why I like to have things thrown at me when I run, but I do.

Tomorrow...I'll discuss food and life!
